One day I’ll let go of
the screwdriver, the hammer
and the wrench. I’ll put the nails
back in their box, the top screwed
on the Super Glue. I’ll tear up
plan B, plan C and D, stop the
hedging and the betting, the analyzing, sketching.
And instead, I’ll watch the squirrel
leap in hope towards the seedy stash
and know – soon – it will eat.
