Flying

flying

Birds, they say, fly
thanks to the pressure
differential created
when air flows over
their wings and the
flapping that gives
them forward thrust.
Which is all quite clever,
but not the same
as the feeling we get
when we watch
a chickadee zoom upwards
as everything around it
wants to fall down.
