Delicious death

It’s curious how autumn can smell
delicious, warmly loamy, earthy, cozy.
The crispy leaves trap the heat,
the nourishing nuts in woodchuck’s nest.
There’s bark and twigs, seeds and thorns.
It’s gorgeous, nutritious, scrumptious,
death.
